Apologies to people viewing this site in Internet Explorer 6 and 7, and to those viewing it in IE8, Firefox, Opera, and Chrome, congratulations on your choice of standards-compliant browser.
IE6 and 7 are causing me problems at present due to their wilful way of rendering pages. This is a common problem for web developers and a disproprtionate amount of time is spent finding hacks to make pages work. For a complex site like this it does mean compromises, which is why the two column layout on the home page for new items is on hold just now.
This goes a long way to fixing things in IE7, but the left column is still being displaced in IE6. I'm working on making it compatible, but just want to take the opportunity to suggest to IE6 users that they change browser, as it is neither secure nor good! I like Opera, but for plugin support and security it has to be Firefox.
But like I say... I'm working on it.
