Having trailed this yesterday, I can now reveal the New! Free Ads feature, available in the Shopping section under Marketplace.
Yes, you can post your ads free, with pictures and description. Products, services, wants, can all be posted, and as themes emerge so will classifications to organise them under. However as the sole item there just now is a pile of VHS cassette boxes that I want to get shot of (free to any home), adding classifications at this stage seemed a bit fanciful.
You need to register first, and this is done by clicking the 'Create an account' link in the User Login area below. Once registered you can login and post an ad, which will be moderated at first, so please allow some time for this to happen. Ads can remain for 30 days, at which point a reminder will be sent, and it can be posted again if you want.
There are rules of course, and they are linked to on the page, and should be fairly self evident. It's all free now, but if it proves time consuming to look after some trivial payment might be requested for advertising things over a certain value (TBD).
So I encourage you to post your items, and help hide the fact that will become apparent that I have a lot of bruck in my house. If there is demand, a separate charity shop can also be set up in The Blue Window.
Anybody wanting to do up a 1988 Vauxhall Belmont or Astra, this is your lucky day...
